Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of SiteAcademy (the “Service”), including the free SEO checker and any paid services. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Do not scan private, internal, or non-public systems. Only scan URLs you own or have permission to test.
1. About the Service
SiteAcademy provides tools that help you review web pages for common SEO, technical and basic accessibility signals. The Service may include free scans, score tracking, comparisons, guides, and optional paid services.
We may update, change, suspend or discontinue parts of the Service at any time to improve performance, security, or quality.
2. Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract and comply with these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to scan or probe systems you do not own or do not have permission to test.
- Attempt to bypass security controls, rate limits, or access restrictions.
- Use the Service in a way that could disrupt, overload, or harm the Service or other users.
- Upload or submit URLs containing malicious payloads, or attempt exploitation via the scanning process.
- Scrape, copy, or harvest the Service content at scale without written permission.
Normal personal or business use is fine. Automated scanning at scale may be rate-limited, blocked, or require prior approval.
4. Scans & public visibility
When you run a scan, we fetch the URL you provide and analyse the returned HTML and headers. Results may include an SEO score, pass/fail checks, and suggested fixes.
Some scan information may be shown publicly for transparency and leaderboard features. Typically, public areas show:
- The scanned domain (or hostname)
- The SEO score and basic metadata like scan time
We recommend avoiding private URLs, staging environments, internal hostnames, and any URL that may reveal sensitive information.
If you believe a URL or domain is displayed in a way that creates a risk, contact us at support@siteacademy.co.uk with the relevant links and we’ll review.
5. Results & accuracy
The Service provides automated checks and guidance. Results are indicative only and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect depending on page behaviour, geolocation, caching, blocked resources, scripts, or server responses.
You are responsible for verifying changes and assessing what is appropriate for your site and your circumstances. We do not guarantee any ranking outcome, indexing, traffic increase, or performance improvement.
6. Paid services
If you purchase a paid service (for example, link building packages), you agree to provide accurate details required to fulfil the order. Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary depending on volume, niche, and operational constraints.
6.1 Pricing & payment
- Prices are shown at checkout and may change over time.
- Payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not store full payment card details on our servers.
6.2 Refunds
Because some services involve work that begins shortly after purchase, refunds may be limited once fulfilment has started. If there is a problem with delivery, contact us and we’ll try to resolve it fairly.
Paid services are not a guarantee of rankings. SEO outcomes depend on many factors outside any single service.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including the site design, branding, text, and software, is owned by SiteAcademy or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose.
You retain rights to your own website content. By submitting a URL for scanning, you grant us permission to fetch and analyse that URL for the purpose of providing results and operating the Service.
8. Liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SiteAcademy excludes warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We are not responsible for losses arising from your use of the Service, including lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or any indirect or consequential loss, to the extent permitted by law.
For example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we’ll take reasonable steps to highlight the update on the site. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
